Herd of Mustangs Named All-Conference |
The Morrison Mustangs got a nice surprise during their week of playoff preparation. With the release of the TRAC-8 All-Conference team, the Mustangs were awarded for their fine season by placing nine players on the team. The entire offensive and defensive backfields were selected to the team along with half the linebacking core. Pacing the Mustangs was Dustin Vandermyde who was elected to first team offensive and defensive line. Sammy Biggs was the other two-way first team player at running back and defensive back. Greg Frickenstein led the linebackers with a first team selection along with Nick Vandermyde who was also selected to the second team for running back. Zach Harridge was named honorable mention linebacker along with first team offensive line. Ryan Schisler and Austin Rickels rounded out the defensive backfield by being named to the second team. Chris Scott was selected as second team offensive and defensive line. Nate McBride rounded off the selections by being named honorable mention running back and second team return specialist. The selections are a true testament to the team play displayed by the Mustangs all year long. None of these selections would have been possible without the team effort supporting them. Congratulations to all nine of these Mustangs and you can see them in action on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. when they host Warren-River Ridge in the first round of the playoffs. by rustinl |
