5th Colts Grind One Out Against Newman |
by Rick O’Shea The Morrison 5th Grade Colts traveled to Newman High School Thursday the 8th to play a small but very quick Meteor team. The Colts also had to adjust to the weather as it was raining most of the first half. Although there were a few miss-cues the players adjusted very well. Morrison’s first score came on a 23-yard touchdown run by Brock Deter. Connor Duncan and Jesse Bethel opened a nice hole for Danny Willis to run in the two point conversion making the score 8-0. The Colts’ final score came on a 34 yard run by Danny Willis. The two-point conversion was no good. Our defense once again stepped it up led by Nate Pfister with 5 solo tackles and 5 assists. During the course of our 32-minute game the defense gave up only one positive yard of offense and not one first down. Offensive numbers Passing: Phillip O’Shea 0-1; Blake Blean 0-1. Rushing Att. yds.
