5th Colts Run Over Sterling Blue

The 5th grade colts kept things rolling Saturday against Sterling Blue at Harry Kidd Field. Seven rushers ran for a total of 231 yards led by Blake Blean with four carries for 102 yards.

Blake set up our first score with a 40 yard run down to the 4-yard line. Alex Volckmann ran it in for his first touchdown of the season. The two point conversion was good by Brock Deter making the score 8-0.
Brock Deter was the next to score on a very nice 43 yard run set up by a 20 yard Halfback pass from Blake Blean to Reid Hoffman, the conversion by Brock was good bringing the score 16-0.
Next to score was Danny Willis from 12 yards out. 2-point conversion run by Logan Wilkens was good. Score 24-0. The last score of the game came on a 53-yard touchdown run by Blake Blean. Final score 30-6.
The defense once again stepped it up giving up only 37 total yards. This was a total team effort as all players saw significant playing time. We will next be in action Thursday night at 5 P.M. against Newman at Newman High School. Then we will be at home against Amboy on Saturday the 10th at 10 A.M.
