F/S Fillies Shut Out Bureau Valley

The Fresh/Soph Fillies traveled to Bureau Valley on April 12 with Kate Tenboer pitching and Heather Andersen behind the plate. The Fillies stranded two base runners in the first and Bureau Valley did not score in their half of the inning.

The Fillies left one on in the second, and Bureau Valley went out in order. In the third, the Fillies stranded one base runner and could not score. Bureau Valley as out in order again. In the fourth, Jordan Mann started with a single, Heather Anderson doubled to score Jordan. Alene Vandermyde flew out to score Anderson.

The Fillies scored twice in the inning. Bureau Valley managed 2 hits. The Fillies threw a runner out at home to end the inning, not allowing any runs to score.

In the Fillies fifth, Becca Head started out with a walk, Meagan Nelson hit a single and eventually stole home. Mann singled, Anderson singled, Vandermyde doubled to score Mann and Anderson and then stole home. Andrea Vegter walked and eventually stole home. Kaitlin Durham had a single and stole home.

Head walked, Kyla Renkes singled to score Head and Renkes also stole home. The Fillies lead 10-0, with Bureau Valley going down in order to end the game.

Kate Tenboer only allowed 2 hits, and 8 strike outs in the 17 batters she faced. The Fresh/Soph Fillies were again victorious, winning 10-0.
