2005 Year in Review

Todd Weimer competing in Deaflympic Games in Australia

Todd Weimer of Morrison is competing in the 2005 Deaflympic Games in Melbourne, Australia. He is a member of the Men’s USA Volleyball team.

The games began on Thursday, January 6th and will be ending with final closing ceremonies on Sunday, January 16.

So far the US has played Germany on January 6 and lost in three games 14-25; 17-25; 23-25. January 7 the USA team beat Figi in three games 25-9; 25-17; 25-15. Saturday, January 8 the US team was up against Russia and won one out of four games 19-25; 25-21; 20-25; 19-25. Sunday the Men’s team played Italy and came up short all three games. 20-25; 12-25; 19-25.

The USA team won all three games against Ghana due to forfeit.

The United States team finished the Olympics in 8th place playing against Japan. They lost in three very close games with scores of 19-25; 22-25; and 21-25.
