Three Charged with Unlawful Possession of Cannabis

On 12-02-05, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Morrison Police charged Michael R. Carrico, 17, Michael A. Engelkes, 17, and a 16-year-old juvenile with one (1) count each of unlawful possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams. Carrico was also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The three were taken into custody in the parking area of the High School after police were informed of drug use in the parking lot before school.

Carrico and Engelkes were issued notices to appear in court. The juvenile was released to parental custody. All three are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
