The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) has announced the names of this year’s students honored as Illinois State Scholars. Those from Morrison High School include Stephanie Andersen, Allison Connelly, Tony Damhoff, Greg DeBoer, Jessica Deets, Julianna Karvelius, Courtney McCrary, Austin Rickels, Ryan Schisler, Lewis Selmon, Andrew Tenboer, and Bridgett Wood.
The State Scholar program recognizes Illinois high school students for outstanding academic achievement. The Commission is pleased to announce that twelve Morrison High School students have been named Illinois State Scholars.
Students ranking in the top ten percent of the state’s 137,000 high school graduating seniors have been named Illinois State Scholars. Selection is based on ACT score results and the students’ class rank at the end of the junior year of high school. Qualified students are encouraged to list the honor on applications for college admissions and scholarships.
