Morrison Police Reports 11-14-05

On 11-10-05, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Morrison Police arrested Holly E. Gaul, 27, Sterling, for driving with a suspended license. Gaul was arrested in the 500 block of Oakland Avenue after a court security officer observed Gaul enter a car near the courthouse. Gaul was transported to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center where she was later released on a notice to appear in court. Gaul is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 11-11-05, at approximately 8:00 a.m., Sheila Schipper, Morrison reported that her mailbox, along with three other mailboxes, where damaged some time the previous night. The damaged occurred along Hazel Road near Bishop Road.

On 11-12-05, at approximately 2:11 p.m., Morrison Police charged Peter C. Walters, 52, Morrison, with three (3) counts of aggravated battery to a police officer, one (1) count of resisting a police officer, and one (1) count of disorderly conduct.
Walters was charged after police responded to a neighborhood disturbance, in which Walters was yelling obscenities to two women. When the responding officer advised Walters that he was under arrest, Walters fled into his mobile home with the arresting officer in pursuit. Walters shut and locked the door, upon which, the officer kicked the door down and took Walters into custody after a brief struggle. During his transportation to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center, Walters kicked the arresting officer three (3) times. Walters was subsequently incarcerated in the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center pending an appearance before a judge. Walters is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The arresting officer was not injured during the incident. Morrison Police were assisted at the scene by a Trooper from Illinois State Police, District One.

On 11-13-05, at approximately 12:12 a.m., Morrison Police arrested Timothy J. Corbin, 27, Morrison, for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Corbin was charged after being stopped at the intersection of South Cherry and East Morris Streets for a traffic violation. Corbin was subsequently transported to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center where he was later released on a notice to appear in court. Corbin is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
