It’s Already Halloween …Is Your Christmas Shopping Done?

Like it or not, the holiday count-down has begun. The commercials bombard us with warm-fuzzy messages and catchy holiday jingles, convincing us (and our children) that their product will bring us true holiday happiness.

And living in the commercial capital of the world, we buy the message. We spend our time hustling and bustling, buying and baking, wrapping and decorating, smiling and faking. But despite all this effort, the holidays often disappoint.

University of Illinois Extension, in cooperation with the First Presbyterian Church of Morrison, would like to offer you an opportunity to change all that!

A FREE workshop entitled “UNPLUG THE CHRISTMAS MACHINE” will be offered on Tuesday, November 15 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 100 East Lincolnway in Morrison.

Refreshments and materials are provided; however, pre-registration is required by contacting the Morrison Extension Office at 815-772-4075. Office hours are Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please call prior to Friday, November 11 to register.
