Morrison Police Department News Release for 10-03-05. On 9-28-05 at approximately 7:30 a.m., Morrison Police investigated a two vehicle accident in the 600 block of West Lincolnway. A westbound car driven by Natasha N. Boelkins, 18, of Morrison turned left in front of a car driven by Mary C. Bushey, 53, of Freeport. Boelkins was transported to Morrison Community Hospital for treatment. Bushey declined medical treatement at the scene. The damage to both vehicles exceeded $500.00. Boelkins was cited for failure to yield while turning left. Boelkins is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. On 9-28-05 at approximately 12:50 p.m., Morrison Police Department investigated a two vehicle accident at the intersection of High Street and Glenwood Drive. An eastbound car driven by Ruth Earl, 79, of Morrison turned onto Glenwood Drive and struck a van driven by Brenda Martin, 43, of Morrison. Martin was stopped at the stop sign. The damage exceeded $500.00 to both vehicles. There were no injuries. No citations were issued. On 10-2-05 at approximately 3:44 a.m., Morrison Police Department investigated a break-in at the High School. Subject(s) set off several fire extinguishers during the break-in.The incident is under investigation. On 10-2-05 at approximately 3:08 p.m., the Morrison Police Department investigated an aggravated battery. Two 13 year old females were battering another 13 year old female. The 13 year old victim received medical treatment. The two 13 year old suspects were taken into custody. One was released to her parents and the other detailed in a juvenile detention center.Both were charged with Aggravated Battery. Both female suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The Morrison Police Department has received complaints on several counterfeit $20.00 bills. The Police Department asked that the Morrsion residents and businesses be alert and to call the Department if a bill is suspect. by Editor, theCity1.com |
