Paint the Town was a Huge Success

The 2005 Paint the Town proved to be a huge success this year. The CAPA committee had originally decided to paint 1000 five foot by 5 foot squares on Main Street. After close evaluation and between 950 and 960 pre-registered painters it was decided Friday evening before the event to paint 1,102 squares.

“Imagination – It’s All In Your Head” was the theme for this year and 1060+ participants, young and old painted the town Saturday, September 17.

Editor’s Note: I would like to thank Frank Vavra for submitting his pictures of Paint the Town also. In the middle of the happenings Morrison’s three firefighters who had been helping in Louisiana arrived back in town so part of the time my focus was on their arrival.
