2005 Year in Review

2005 Fishing Derby

Two hundred thirty five children registered for the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and Mounted Patrol Fishing Derby. The event was held Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Morrison Rockwood State Park.

Category winners are:

Large Mouth Bass: Charity Bland, 4, Morrison, Open draw; Kyle Hubner, 8, Albany, Open draw; Erin Carney, 13, Morrison, Open draw.

Walleye-Muskie: Bryclan Shoup, 4, Morrison, Open draw; Daniel Jackson, 11, Morrison, Open Draw; Eli Schipper, 12, Cordova, Open Draw.

Catfish: Carter Johnson, 1, Morrison, 10 7/8 inches; Jennifer McDannel, 11, Clinton, IA 12 1/2 inches; Nick VanderVinne, 14, Morrison, 14 inches.

Bluegill-Sunfish: Jarrett Wiebenga, 5, Morrison, 9 1/4 inches; Jordan Wiebenga, 9, Morrison, 10 1/4 inches; Shane Hartman, 15, Clinton, IA, 11 1/ 8 inches.

Crappie: Jasmine Wright, 5, Milledgeville, 8 1/2 inches; Madison Tucker, 8, Morrison, 7 3/4 inches; Anthony Geary, Milledgeville, 9 1/2 inches
