Fishing Derby Will Be Held September 10

The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department and Mounted Patrol will be holding their Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday, September 10, 2005.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Morrison Rockwood State Park. The Derby begins at 9 a.m. and will run until 12 noon.

The fishing contest is open to all youth aged 15 and under, and s free of charge to everyone. Prizes will be awarded to all youth throughout the day. Grand prizes are awarded for the largest fish (total length) in each category. Special prizes are awarded for individual efforts. A parent or guardian must sign for each child.
