Late Nite Catechism 2 AT TLP |
|
Timber Lake Playhouse is delighted to announce that it will close its season by bringing back “the world’s funniest nun” in the long-awaited sequel, Late Nite Catechism 2 or "Sometimes We Feel Guilty Because We ARE Guilty,” thru August 20. The original Late Nite Catechism, now in its 11th year, became an international hit with its audience-interactive style and hysterically funny material. “Late Nite 2 opened to rave reviews last summer,” states TLP Artistic Director Brad Lyons, “and I’ll admit, I was reticent about a sequel. But friends who saw both plays said the second was as funny as the first, if not funnier.” Mr. Lyons knew a tour was being put together, and immediately phoned Late Nite’s New York office to begin negotiations for TLP to be one of its stops. Featuring all-new material by the original star and co-author Maripat Donovan, Late Nite Catechism 2 begins with “Sister” confessing the goal of every nun – to get herself into heaven first, then bring along as many of the faithful as possible. The show features an overview of heaven and hell as a Catholic version of “Chutes and Ladders”, and lists the latest sins and celebrity sinners. Award-winning actress & comedienne Amanda Hebert, hailing from New Orleans, LA will put the audience through the paces as “Sister” in her TLP debut in the interactive production. Ms Hebert has been performing Late Nite Catechism since 1998 and touring with the show since 2001 to over 50 cities across the United States. She is currently starring Maripat Donovan’s two new shows, Late Nite Catechism 2 and Sister’s Christmas Catechism. Hebert has received numerous awards for her role as Sister, and was the winner of the Jay Leno Comedy Search for her stand-up comedy act.
