Morrison Police Reports 08-08-05

On 08-02-05, at approximately 10:54 a.m., Morrison Police investigated a two-car accident at the intersection of Park and Orange Streets. A car driven by Sarah L. Bramm, 22, Morrison, was eastbound on Park Street. The Bramm vehicle proceeded into the intersection and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by Deborah L. Schroeder, 51, Morrison. Schroeder was transported to the Morrison Community Hospital by ambulance for treatment of injuries. Both vehicles received in excess of $500 damage. Bramm was cited for failure to yield. Bramm is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 08-07-05, at approximately 10:08 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Michael L. Rogers, 35, Phoenix, Arizona, on a Maricopa County, Arizona, arrest warrant charging Rogers with failure to appear on a previous narcotics arrest. Morrison Police stopped Rogers’ vehicle in the 700 block of East Lincolnway after receiving information that Rogers was in the area. Rogers was also charged with obstructing justice after he attempted to provide false information to the investigating officer. Rogers was subsequently transported to the Whiteside County Law Enforcement Center pending an appearance before a judge.
Obstructing justice is a Class 4 Felony, punishable by a sentence of one to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Rogers is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
