|
Source: Heather Coyle, Whiteside County Extension, 815-772-4075 There are so many topics we need to learn about in order to deal with our everyday lives, but who has the time for a semester of classes, grades, or a long commute? The good news is that formal college classes are not your only option, especially if you are a Whiteside County resident. The University of Illinois Extension Office, Whiteside County is currently planning low to no-cost workshops in your area through 2006. You only need to call the Morrison office and let us know what YOU would like to learn! We can help you learn how to eat nutritiously or dine with diabetes. We can help you learn to protect your identity and improve your credit score. We can answer your garden questions, show you how to can that perfect salsa, or teach you ways to use your computer. We can help you consider estate planning and long-term care insurance, show you how to create a stress-reducing personal budget, and help you learn to avoid debt. Perhaps creating holiday gifts from your kitchen sounds interesting, or your church or fund-raising group needs to learn how to handle food appropriately for your events. Many options are available to you, if only you will let us know your personal or organizational educational needs. Call Heather Coyle at the Morrison Extension Office, 815-772-4075, and let her know what it is you would like to learn! by Editor, theCity1.com |
