Name for 175th Anniversary

The poll question on thecity1.com Home Page and Page Two has been: What will be the name given to the 175th Anniversary of Morrison?

Fifty-five people responded. The count total was: Septuagesequintennial – 19 votes; Tercentennial – 10 votes; Septaquintaquinquecentennial – 9; Quindecimillenial – 6; Bicentennial – 6; Hendecennial – 5.

The winner is Septaquintaquinquecentennial. The name Terquasquicentennial can also be used for a 175th anniversary.

Though neither of these names appears in a dictionary the consistent linguistic sequence of the Latin number system brings about these two names, but they are not considered official. They were created by individuals without approval.
