The 18th Annual Harvest Hammer, sponsored by Morrison Community Hospital will be held Saturday, September 17, 2005.

Registration is from 7:30-8:45 a.m. in front of the Morrison High School. The Wee Run, which is open to ages pre-kindergarten to 2nd grade, begins at 8:15 a.m. This is a ½ mile distance run.

The Fun Run and Challenge Run starts at 8:30 a.m. This run is open to 3rd-5th graders. The Fun Run is ½ mile and the Challenge Run is one mile.

The 5K Run Walk and 5K-21 Mile Bike Duathlon begin at 9 a.m.

Proceeds from this event benefit Morrison Community Hospital.

Trophies or medallions are awarded to the top three runners in the 5K, Duathlon, and Team Duathlon. First overall Male and Female Runners trophies will be awarded to the top Wee Run, Fun Run and Challenge Run participants. Age division winners will receive medallions three deep. Each person will receive only one medal or trophy. The Whiteside County Deputy Youth Program donated all the trophies for the Wee Run, Fun Run and Challenge Run.

There are no refunds and the race is held rain or shine.
