TLP offers workshop & summer arts camp

Timber Lake Playhouse will be hosting two theatre workshop sessions and one five day long Summer Arts Camp. These special events are sponsored by a special grant from the Illinois Arts Council and will be taught be the Resident Company of TLP and several special guest artists from Chicago.

The Summer Arts Camp, running Monday, August 1st thru Friday, August 5th, 10 AM to 3 PM, is for Children grades 7 thru 12. The five days of exciting classes includes many areas of theatrical experiences containing acting, dance and technical theatre, taught by trained professionals! The registration fee is only $25 per student, which includes one ticket to The Hunchback of Notre Dame playing on our main stage.

Workshop #1 is a one day clinic and is for children entering into grades 3 thru 6 during this upcoming school year. On Saturday, July 30th from 10 AM to 3 PM children can choose from classes including stage combat, dance, improvisational acting, theatre crafts, costumes and more! The fee for this one day adventure is only $5 per child.

Workshop #2 gives children grades 3 thru 6 the chance to express their theatrical talents once again. On Saturday, August 6th, 10 AM to 3 PM the workshop includes all the classes in Workshop #1 as well as one free ticket to ALICE IN WONDERLAND! The fee for this day of fun is only $10 per child.
