Sesquicentennial Parade


Grand Prize Winner of the Parade First Baptist Church.

Morrison’s Sesquicentennial Celebration “Memories are Made in Morrison” highlight was the parade Saturday afternoon, which wound through the south end of town and ended at the Whiteside County Fairgrounds. Over 100 entries lined up at the General Electric parking lot and proceeded with the 1-½ hour parade.

Betty Stralow, Parade Director and Bob Stone, Assistant Parade Director stated their appreciation of all who viewed the parade and acknowledged the many compliments they have received for their efforts.

Winners of the parade include:

Grand Prize: First Baptist Church

Under the category of “Memories Are Made In Morrison” (Prize money was donated by Vicki Wright).
1st Place – Harvey Zuidema and the Goodenough Milk Truck
2nd Place - Metro Bank
3rd Place – Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

Under the General Category:
1st Place – The Madhatters of Morrison
2nd Place – Cottonwood 4-H Club
3rd Place – Blue Goose Run
