Source: David Robson, U of I Extension Educator, Horticulture

Drought conditions throughout the state are taking their toll on lawn and garden plants. Lawns are going dormant, flowers and vegetables are wilting, and trees and shrubs may be showing signs of scorch.

To help gardeners help their plants, University of Illinois Extension has developed six new Dealing with the Drought fact sheets. These fact sheets provide specific advice on what to water, when to water, and how to most efficiently water plants. Information about drought-related stress on plants and leaf scorch is also included.
