Christmas Ornaments in July? Yes, of Course! |
|
Those of us who collect Chrismas ornaments understand there is no "season" for purchasing keepsakes for the Christmas tree. The Sesquicentennial Store, 218 W. Main, is now offering a limited number of round, white, satin ornaments. Because only 200 were ordered, it truly is not too early to buy decorations for yourself and family members. These ornaments will be the perfect remembrance of the 2005 Sesquicentennial for years to come. However, they will not be available when most people begin to think of the holidays. Each orb is printed in red and blue with Jennifer Parker’s curvilinear 150 logo. Blue letters curve around the logo to form her slogan, “Memories are Made in Morrison.” The diameter is 3 ¼ inches. The USA-made ornaments are sold in a gift box for easy gifting. They are displayed on the Sesquicentennial Store Christmas tree and sell for $6.50. If you display a Christmas tree year round, you can add this new, commemorative ornament to your collection immediately. If you decorate 15 Christmas trees, as I do, you might think about purchasing several Sesquicentennial ornaments. They are true collectors' items. by Stephanie A. Vavra, Guest Columnist |
