“I come away with as much as I give,” Brenda Fletcher stated. “God has blessed me with an imagination that goes crazy all the time.”

Brenda is a storywriter but a unique one at that. She began writing stories about her own children in hopes that by reading stories about themselves she could encourage them to read more. She specializes her books by including the person in the story and using pictures of that person. For instance if you wanted her to do a story on your son or daughter you would submit information and pictures to her and she would write the story using their name, information and pictures. Each story is original, she does not use any pre-written or pre-formatted styles. “The way the book is laid out is as unique as the story,” said Brenda.

Each and every one of her books always includes a lesson to be learned. She has written over 50 stories and has five different books selling in four shops. Her collection also includes a series about a little girl named Gloria.

Brenda was born and raised in Southern Ohio. She met Tom Fletcher from Morrison five years ago and they have been married for two years. Brenda has two children, Tre, 20 and Jillian, 14 and Tom has two children Tara, 26 and Tony, 22.

Brenda has also written articles for “The Vine” which is a teen girl’s devotional magazine; “The Upper Room; Inspiredmoms.com; Faithwriters and Poemsforhim.com

Brenda has also written a book entitled “My Small Town” in honor of Morrison’s Sesquicentennial Celebration. A grandmother in the story explains to her grandson some history of the beginning of Morrison. Brenda is selling these books for $3.00. Brenda can be contacted by phone at (815) 772-8127 or emailed at bforiginals@hotmail.com. You can also place an order for the book in the Sesquicentennial Store at 218 W. Main Street, Morrison.

“It is my contribution to the celebration,” Brenda added. Other samples of some of Brenda’s books can also be seen in the store.
