Unity Christian School in Fulton, IL will be holding a Garden Walk on Sunday, July 3, 2005 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at each garden or the following locations:
Morrison - Lincoln Highway Gifts & Wells Fargo Bank
Fulton – Central Bank, Berg’s Pharmacy, Words of Wisdom Christian Books and Gifts, & Unity Christian High School
Clinton – Razzleberries Fine Gifts
Garden 1: Home of Mary Cox, 219 4th Avenue Fulton, IL
This garden features a curved walkway with lilies and perennials under a Japanese Maple. It also includes a wild flower bed and hosta collection. This garden is a very peaceful get away.
Garden 2: Home of Gaylen & Sandy Miller, 1110 9th Avenue Fulton, IL
This garden has raised flower beds lined with landscaping pavers, boxwood hedges border the front, backyard courtyard that is a wonderful retreat shaded by a mature Maple Tree with many perennials and hostas.
Garden 3: Home of Bernie & Marge Vogel, 1001 10th Avenue Fulton, IL
This garden features a large Clematis climbing a Redwood fence, Rhododendrons and perennials, Dutch Flair featuring a windmill and wooden Dutch shoes. Their five cockatiels will be on display for your viewing pleasure.
Garden 4: Home of Marsha & Dean Brackemyer, 1214 Fowler Road Fulton, IL
This garden features a giant collection of over 80 varieties of Hostas, and several raised flowerbeds around perimeter of home.
Garden 5: Home of Rich & Judy Holesinger, 1117 Valley View Drive
This garden features a brick paved walkway in a circular design, a large variety of perennials, a 60 year old Climbing Rose Bush growing over backyard arbor.
Garden 6: Home of Connie & Terry Metzger, 918 Melody Hills
This garden features Anamosa stone walls to form raised flowerbeds as well as a backdrop for lavish plantings.
Garden 7: Home of Bud & Beverly Berzinski, The Point
This garden overlooks the Mississippi River at Fulton’s highest point; paths weave around the property with endless variety of plants and a very spectacular waterfall.
