Bethesda Blaze Prepares for Relay For Life

The Bethesda Blaze - Relay For Life Team from Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison has been busy raising funds for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Whiteside County. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which is being held on Saturday and Sunday, June 11th and 12th at Hinders Field in Rock Falls.

The team is hoping to collect $5,000 for the event and has held various fund raisers including an Easter Basket silent auction, Pizza Hut fund raiser day, geranium sale and through private donations. The team would like to encourage all members of the community to attend the Relay and join them in honoring the cancer survivors and remembering those that have lost their battle with cancer.
