Police Report 06-01-05

On 05-30-05, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Morrison Police charged a 16-year-old juvenile with motor vehicle theft. The juvenile was found by Illinois State Police on Garden Plain Road after the car he had stolen burned out a clutch. The vehicle was stolen from 512 East Wall Street some time during the previous night. The juvenile was detained at the Whiteside County Law Center, and later transferred to the Mary Davis Home juvenile detention facility in Galesburg. The juvenile is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 06-01-05, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Morrison Police arrested Joshua E. Messenger, 18, Morrison, on a charge of domestic battery. Messenger was arrested after police and ambulance personnel received a 911 call of a disturbance and an injured person at 113 West Main Street. Messenger was incarcerated at the Whiteside County Law Center pending an appearance before a judge. Messenger is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
