Eighteen Residents Report Tire Damage |

Morrison Police Department and Whiteside County Crime Stoppers are asking for any information into the investigation of 18 residents reporting tires slashed or punctured. On 05-27-05, and 05-28-05, eighteen residents reported that they had tires on their cars punctured or slashed. The incidents occurred between May 27 at 3:30 p.m. and May 28 at approximately 11:00 a.m. All but two incidents occurred during daylight hours. Eight residents reported two tires damaged, ten residents reported one tire damage. The total cost to replace all of the tires is estimated to be between $1,000 and $1,500. The incidents occurred in an area of Morrison bordered by Genesee, Morris, Heaton and Winfield Streets. Several witnesses described a white male, 11 to 13 years of age, with a short haircut, blonde hair, and riding a BMX-style bicycle as a possible suspect.
