University of Illinois Extension Offers Summer Camp Program

Looking for an adventure and learning opportunity for your child that is close to home this summer? Then look no further than Camp Clover – coming to a community near you! Camp Clover is an exciting, hands-on learning summer camp for youth ages eight to 12. Youth will learn more about their community and world, conduct fun science experiments and experience food and nutrition – by eating the snacks and lunch that they prepare! Each camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for three consecutive days. Cost for the camp is $20.00, which includes supplies, snacks, and lunches. Camp Clover is scheduled for the following dates and communities:

June 7th, 8th and 9th - Fulton High School, Fulton
June 14th, 15th and 16th - Prophetstown Elementary School, Prophetstown
June 21st, 22nd and 23rd - Erie Elementary School, Erie
June 28th, 29th and 30th - St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Morrison
July 26th, 27th and 28th - Washington School, Sterling
August 2nd, 3rd and 4th - Rock Falls Community Center, Rock Falls

Pre-registration is required and is due one week before the camp date. Teen and adult volunteers are also needed to help lead activities and assist in other ways during Camp Clover. To pre-register or volunteer, please contact Katie Armstrong at the Extension office at (815) 772-4075.
