Be Aware of Fraudulent Checks

The Morrison Police Department received a report from one business, one individual, and one charitable organization on 05-16-05, that have received checks that have been returned with insufficient funds. The issuer listed on the checks is an individual named Iris Kelley of Dixon, Illinois.

The Police Department is asking that residents be alert for these checks. Any checks that have been received, and returned for insufficient funds, should be reported to the Whiteside County Check Theft Program at the Whiteside County State’s Attorney’s Office, 200 East Knox Street, Third Floor, Morrison, Illinois.
