Sheep Producer Meetings Set

Sheep producers will have two opportunities to attend a meeting focusing on lamb markets. The first meeting will be at 7:30 p.m., May 20 at the Effingham-Fayette-Clay Extension office in Effingham and the second is 10 a.m., May 21 at the Farmer City Fairgrounds.

"Rick Reynolds of United Producers, Inc., of Ohio will discuss marketing opportunities his company can offer to sheep producers in Illinois," said Dick Cobb, University of Illinois Extension sheep specialist. "Live lambs will be evaluated and producers will learn the proper finish for different frame size lambs. This information will help producers in their decisions to sell their lambs as feeders, ethnic types or traditional lambs."
