Juvenile Charged Following Three BB Gun Instances |

On 04-26-05, at approximately 9:30 a.m. Morrison Police charged a 16-year-old juvenile with aggravated battery, battery, and aggravated assault. The charges are the result of the investigation by Morrison Police into three BB gun incidents. The battery occurred at a residence on Garden Plain Road on April 17 in which a 15-year-old juvenile victim was shot twice in the back with a BB gun. The aggravated assault occurred in the 300 block of East Wall Street, in Morrison, shortly after the Garden Plain Road incident when the offender pointed a BB gun at a 17-year-old victim. The aggravated battery occurred on the evening of April 18 in which a 16-year-old victim was shot in the face at Waterworks Park, resulting in facial injuries. The juvenile has been released to the custody of his parents. The case has been referred to the Whiteside County State’s Attorney for adjudication.
