Morrison Police Reports 04-25-05 |

On 04-17-05, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Morrison Police received a report that a male subject, driving by a 17-year-old victim in a car, pointed a gun at the victim in the 300 block of East Wall Street. A similar incident occurred on Garden Plain Road that evening, and was reported to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office. On 04-18-05, at approximately 7:37 p.m., a 16-year-old victim was shot in the face with a BB pellet in Waterworks Park. The 16-year-old victim was treated and released for facial injuries at the Morrison Community Hospital. All of these incidents are being investigated by the Morrison Police Department and the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office. On 04-20-05, at approximately 9:10 a.m., Morrison Police charged Steven D. Rippy, 26, Tampico, Illinois, with Attempt, Violation of an Order of Protection. Rippy was charged after he attempted to make telephone contact with a 16-year-old female juvenile in Morrison, in violation of an Order of Protection. Rippy was released on a notice to appear in court. Rippy is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. On 04-20-05, at approximately 4:15 p.m., a 16-year-old juvenile was charged with theft under $150 and criminal damage to property. The charges are a result of an investigation of the theft of a bicycle at the Morrison Junior High School the previous day. The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent. The case has been referred to the Whiteside County State’s Attorney for adjudication. The juvenile is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. On 04-22-05, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a Morrison High School student reported that a cellular telephone had been stolen from her locker that day. On 04-24-05, at approximately 7:09 p.m., Jamie Dauphin, Morrison, reported that her purse had been stolen from her unlocked van the previous night.
