Spring Giveaways during Museum Reopening

Celebrate the return of spring with an outing to Morrison’s Heritage Museum during the weekend of Friday, April 29 through Sunday, May 1. We are ready for visitors, because our spring cleaning was completed months ago, with the installation of new drywall, paint, and carpeting in the Hearth Room.

Each weekend visitor may enter their name for the May Day drawing of eight spring-themed door prizes. Perhaps you will win a gift certificate for garden items at Spangler’s Landscape Design or meat to grill outdoors from Sullivan’s Foods. Each of these gifts is valued at $20.

Six additional gift certificates for $10 each can be redeemed at K. Brandau Designs, Country Lane Floral, Gallery on Main, K & R Greenhouse, True Value Hardware, and Wilson’s Greenhouses and Florists.

Things are truly looking up at Morrison’s Heritage Museum. Many items have been displayed aloft, as we made use of our vertical display areas. New labels identify the artifacts. Try the new doorbells, and enter through the new back door.

We have built over a dozen brand new exhibits, including Boy and Girl Scout items, quilts and textiles, weapons, quilts and Main Street models created by local students, and 1955 centennial memorabilia.

Kindly join members of the Historical Society from 1:00 to 4:00 on this weekend as we reopen our doors to the public.
