Bomb Threat Caller Arrested

Whiteside County Sheriff Roger A. Schipper announced today, Friday, April 8, 2005 that the Whiteside County Court issued an arrest warrant for Jermaine A. Bray, age 23, for giving a false bomb alarm to the Whiteside County Courthouse on Wednesday, April 6, 2005 at about 9:45 a.m.

Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted in the investigation by Winnebago County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Bray is being held in the Winnebago County Jail. Bond was set at $50,000.00 on the bomb threat call case in Whiteside County. Bray reportedly made the bomb threat to the Whiteside County Courthouse while in custody at the Winnebago County Jail. The offense of calling in a bomb threat is a Class 3 Felony in Illinois.

This arrest is merely a charge and Bray is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
