The Morrison Historical Society has an offer we hope will appeal to our local collectors. We are seeking adult men and women who will showcase their special collections at Morrison’s Heritage Museum. The choice of items to display is yours.
You have an opportunity to share your collectibles with the public. Place them safely inside one or two of our available glass display cases. Your collection must fit inside a velvet-lined case 60 x 20 x 18 inches. There is a glass shelf 9 inches from the bottom, so you can display items on two levels, but it is removable. Larger items might be placed on top of the case.
Kindly call Jackie Tilton at 772-2731 to volunteer your collection and select a time period. Choose a week, a fortnight, or a month for your exhibit during July through October. We will work with whichever time frame is most comfortable for you.
If you and a spouse or fellow collector want to combine items, that is possible, too. We can’t wait to see what you bring to the museum!
Attend the reopening of Morrison’s Heritage Museum on Friday, April 29, from 1-4:00 to see the collections we have installed. You will find a terrific set of miniature sad irons collected by Bob and Ann Damerow over the past 25 years. These salesmen’s samples and toys are varied and hold a key to our past. Be sure to look for the tiniest sad irons, the Monopoly game pieces.
