Police Reports 03-21-05

On 03-15-05, at approximately 8:12 a.m., Morrison Police charged Calvin W. Tompkins, 22, Fulton, with Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Tompkins was stopped in the parking lot of the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department for a violation of the Illinois Vehicle Code. Tompkins was released on a notice to appear in court. Tompkins is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 03-15-05, at approximately 1:47 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Christopher C. Meirs, 21, Morrison, for driving while license suspended. Meirs was arrested at the intersection of High Street and Jenkran Court. Meirs was subsequently released on a notice to appear in a court of law. Meirs is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On 03-17-05, at approximately 10:42 a.m., Morrison Police arrested William C. Lower, 21, Waukegan, for driving while license suspended. Lower was arrested in the 300 Block of N. Cherry Street. Lower was subsequently released on a notice to appear in a court of law. Lower is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Morrison Police is continuing an investigation into an arson to vehicle that occurred on 03-18-05, in the 500 block of West Main Street. Morrison Police was assisted by the Illinois State Police Crime Scene services, The Office of the State Fire Marshall Division of Arson Investigation and Rick’s Auto Body.
