Pre-Celebration Fireworks Display

On Saturday night March 12, 2005 from 7:30 pm to 8:00 pm there will be a short fireworks display fired from the Whiteside County Fairgrounds. An alternative date will be set for the same time on Saturday March 19, 2005 if weather conditions do not permit the shoot on March 12.

Morrison's Sesquicentennial celebrations planned for July 8, 9 & 10 of this year will culminate with a fireworks display designed and shot by J & M Displays. This is the same company who does the annual 4th of July show in Prophetstown and will be completely different, but equally as exciting a finale to the festivities here in Morrison.

The March test fire will allow the committee to better design a safe and spectacular show for July. There will be a bright and loud aerial display, but not a national emergency.
