Morrison Institute of Technology to hold Open House

Morrison Institute of Technology will hold an open house Saturday, February 26 from 9 a.m. to Noon at their campus located at 701 Portland Ave, Morrison, IL. Prospective students will be able to tour the campus and learn more about Morrison’s Engineering Technology programs. Information and demonstrations will be provided concerning Morrison’s Associate Degree program specializing in Computer Aided Design Drafting and CAD or Building and Highway Construction and Surveying program, the new System and Networking Administration program, financial aid, placement services, and general student life.

Students attending the February open house will get the first glimpse of the college’s newest Associate degree program in System and Networking Administration. “The System and Networking Administration program is a new program being implemented in fall of 2005 at Morrison Institute of Technology,” states marketing coordinator Katie Wetzell. “Students choosing to major in System and Networking Administration will earn an Associate in Applied Science degree in 21 months. Course work will include LAN based network and equipment design, advanced LAN/WAN Networking, Networking Fundamentals, and TCP/IP.”

The System and Networking Administration degree will train students for jobs as systems administrators, networking administrators, LAN/WAN technicians, web administrators and computer network specialists. The program will also prepare students for the testing required for the Microsoft MCP, Microsoft MCP + Internet, Comp TIA A+, Comp TIA N+, Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft MCSE + Internet, CCNA, and CCNP certifications.

Students interested in the programs Morrison Institute of Technology has to offer are encouraged to attend the open house. The college is currently accepting applications for fall 2005.
