Tsunami Relief fund deadline extended

The community of Morrison has once again shown its willingness to help others. The UNICEF drive set up for Tsunami relief by Community State Bank, Whiteside News-Sentinel and thecity1.com has reached almost $700.

These three entities have set a goal at $1,000 and the deadline to contribute has been extended until February 14, 2004. If you would still like to contribute to this effort donations can be dropped off or mailed (%Tsunami Relief Fund):

thecity1.com, 230 East Main Street, Morrison, between the hours of 9 a.m.- 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Community State Bank, 220 East Main Street, Morrison. The bank hours are: Lobby – Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. until noon. Drive-up and walk-up hours – Monday – Thursday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. until noon.

Whiteside News-Sentinel, 100 East Main Street, Morrison. Office hours are: Monday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursday, 8:30 a.m. until noon.

Checks should be made out to UNICEF.
