Morrison Pop Warner Football |
| Saturday Sept. 11th was opening game day for the Morrison Pop Warner Mustangs. The first game was played by the Mighty Mites 7&8 yr olds, against Rock Falls.
It was a heartbreaking loss for the little guys, playing a tough and hot game they kept their heads high and fought to the end leaving the score board 27 to 0. These boys are coached by Jim Ferry and Kevin Penaflor who also did a nice job. The next game played was the Jr. Pee Wees the 9&10yr. olds, they to faced up against the strong Rock Falls team. Determined not to leave the Morrison side of the score board empty again, #3 Blake Blean took the ball for a nice long run to the end zone scoring 6 for Morrison. Great job by all the players for the first game they were very strong, unfortunatly the final score was 36 to 6. These kids are coached by Ryan Wilkens and also Kevin Penaflor, nice job coaches. Many thanks go out to the fans that were there to cheer these boys on. Next game is played this Sat. Sept. 18th at 4:30 and 6:00 following the Jr. Tackle games on the Newman Feild. Good Luck!! by anonymous |
