Fresh/Soph Fillies win 2nd in Tourney

On April 24 The Fresh/Soph Fillies hosted the Thomson/Mt Carroll/Savanna Fresh/Soph in the final game of their weekend tournament. Kate Tenboer took the mound as Heather Andersen did the catching.

In the top of the first Thomson scored first. Morrison evened things up after a leadoff double by Abby Vock. Jen Bush was hit by a pitch, Kate Tenboer knocked in Vock.

Thomson added one in the top of the fourth, two in the top of the sixth and three in the top of the seventh. The Morrison Fillies did not give up in the bottom of the seventh down 7-1. They managed to score three runs to make a final score 7-4.

Kate Tenboer struck out 7 in the seven inning game. The Fillies took second in the tournament, and are 8-4 for the year.
