Freshman Fillies win, JV loses by one.

Freshman Fillies win over Riverdale, JV loses by one. The Freshman Fillies were down by two at the end of the first quarter with Jessica Deets getting the offensive rebound for two and Aimee Kyarsgaard putting in four.

The second was all Morrison with Kelly Tenboer getting four, Liz Urban put in two on a nice steal and Laura Stralow with a put back.

In the second half Morrison was able to pressure the ball and get several steals that kept the Fillies in control of the game.

Kelly Tenboer had ten points, three steals, five rebounds, and was a perfect four of four from the line. Aimee Kyarsgaard had seven, three steals, four rebounds, and one for two from the line. Laura Stralow scored five, three steals, five rebounds, and one for two from the line. Erica Sanchez had four, one steal, and two rebounds. Liz Urban also had four, one steal, and five rebounds. Lindsey Smith went one for two from the line, five steals, and three rebounds.

The JV game started slow for the Fillies when they only made two of fifteen from the field in the first. The second quarter looked better for the girls but they were still only shooting twenty-five percent. At the half the girls were trailing by six. In the third Riverdale was able to outscore Morrison, eleven to six. The fourth started looking better with Kelly Tenboer getting four and Jodi Medendorp getting two on an assist from Katie Tenboer. The Fillies held Riverdale to eight this quarter but Morrison with eight seconds left was unable to get the final shot.

Heather Andersen had a season high twenty points, five steals, three rebounds, and was six for thirteen from the line. Kelly Tenboer had eight, two steals, and two rebounds. Katie Tenboer had six, six steals, ten rebounds, one assist, and two for two. Jodi Medendorp scored five, three steals, eleven rebounds, and one from the line.
