CAPA Spring Art Show |
| Morrison’s schools have some very talented artists according to Saturday and Sundays Spring CAPA Art Show at Odell Community Room. Art projects included metal and plastic sculptures, pottery, and paintings were all displayed for family, friends, and the community to enjoy. Members of CAPA and art teachers Stuart Roddy, Ned Nesti, and Jane Ann Ardapple sponsored the event. The teachers and students have worked hard all year to provide a variety of projects and art medias. The same assignment or subject interpreted by 20 or more students produces a variety of outstanding results. For example, teachers gave a spool of aluminum wire to each student and they each came up with different wire sculptures or the assignment was trees and every painting includes the same subject but they are all unique pictures. “We really like the space of the community room. It gives us a lot of room. Bigger is better and we hope to have more next year,” High School art teacher Stuart Roddy explained. Over 500 family members and friends of elementary, junior high, and high school students viewed the two-day show. To view other photos of the art show visit Photo Album. by benson |
