Jazz Band Concert

Morrison Junior High and High School Jazz bands ripped up the stage in the Auditorium Thursday night with Zoot Suit Riot, Mambo No. 5, Hot Dogs and Champagne, Just a Minor Thing, and other songs.

Solos from many of the Junior High and Senior High students were performed including Taylor Boyles, Derek Meinsma, Bert Thorndike, Eli Gravert, Adam Jevne, Julianna Karvelius, and others.

This is the only night the Jazz bands take center stage. They usual perform after school concerts in the cafeteria but always draw a crowd.

Several of the Senior High students performed with the Junior High to fill in. Bert Thorndike, Alene Vandermyde, Julianna Karvelius, Eliot Driver, and Rustin Lindsey all volunteered to play extra.

This is an informal yet fun evening. David Bean conducted both bands.
