Board approves 1st fundraiser project

On January 6, 2004 the Morrison Sesquicentennial board met and approved the 1st fundraising project.

Preliminary event budgets indicate that total cost of the Morrison Sesquicentennial will be well in excess of $20,000. The fireworks display alone will be anywhere from $7,000 to $10,000. The calendar of events will highlight the various projects in mind or scheduled which gives a clear insight into financial needs. The board has worked with a professional lapel pin company and has received a proposed fianl design utilizing the approved Morrison Sesquicentennial logo. The pins will come in two (2) styles. One will be a gold plated pin with tie tac feature and will be sequentially numbered from 1 thru 150. The second design will be a silver plated pin with enamelled lettering. No prices were determined however the gold pins are destined to be an instant collectors item and the silver pins will allow anyone interested in a lasting memory of the 150th to do so in an affordable manner.
