Morrison High School Girls Swimmers Honored

Seven Morrison High School girls’ swimmers were honored last week at half time of the Girls’ basketball game for their state and sectional qualifications.

Jamie Grau, Kendra Kuehl, Amanda (Smiley) Smith, and Rachel Fedyk were honored for qualifying in the 200-yard freestyle relay at state. Relay alternates were Michelle Bos and Lindsay Smith.

Rachel Fedyk was also honored for qualifying in the 50-yard freestyle and 100 yard freestyle. She was also named All-State in the 50 yard freestyle were she placed 10th.

Amanda (Smiley) Smith also qualified for the 50-yard freestyle.

Christina Justice was honored as a sectional qualifier.

Trophies and plaques were presented to the girls, which were donated by the Athletic Boosters.

Coach Steve Wilkins and Morrison High School sponsor the 50-yard freestyle event program for the All-State banquet held by the Illinois Swimming Association.
