During the month of December, the Morrison Chamber of Commerce accepted nominations for the best decorated home in Morrison. American Express Financial Services of Morrison was the sponsor.

On Friday December 17, 2004 the winners were announced and then notified. Two of the winners were able to attend a picture taking ceremony at the offices of American Express Financial Services. Peter Hembrough, Manager is shown handing over a check to Dale and Paula Wiersema while Gerald Wiebenga looks on with his granddaughter. There were so many beautifully decorated homes that the judging committee decided to have 3 winners. First place went to Gerald Wiebenga at 16782 Hazel Road, Second place went to Don Morthland Jr. at 602 South Genesee Street and 3rd place to Dale and Paula Wiersema at 16183 Ridgewood Drive.

In a wonderful show of Christmas spirit, Mr. Wiebenga donated his winning check to the Morrison Food Pantry and Dale and Paula donated their check to the Morrison Sesquicentennial Committee. Pictured accepting for the Food Pantry and the Morrison Sesquicentennial is Bob Vaughn, President of the chamber and co-chair of the Sesquicentennial Committee.

The Morrison Chamber of Commerce thanks each and every person who submitted a nomination form this year and Mr. Peter Hembrough of American Express Financial Services for their sponsorship.
