Morrison Hospital Tree of Lights

Morrison Community Hospital decorated and lit the Christmas tree in the front lobby on Monday, Dec. 13, 2004. The lights on the tree are in memory of loved ones. So far there are 123 names of loved ones remembered by family members and friends.

This 13th annual Tree of Lights is a joint effort between staff and members of the community as they celebrate the Christmas season.

The hospital is still taking donations for the lights. To order a light, send a note with the person’s name and a $5 fee to Morrison Community Hospital, ATTN: LuAnn Wieneke, 303 North Jackson Street, Morrison, IL 61270, or directly at the hospital. The names of those remembered will be posted by the tree and will also be published on TheCity1.com. The hospital will continue to take donations, but in order to have them published they need to be in by Friday, Dec. 17, 2004.

Each year a need of the hospital is chosen to receive the gifts collected. This year funds will be used to help pay for new furnishings for the Four Seasons Living Center.

The tree will remain lit through the holiday season.
