Police Report 12-13-04

On 12-10-04, at approximately 11:38 a.m., Morrison Police investigated a car-semi accident at the intersection of North Madison Street and East Lincolnway. An eastbound semi-tractor driven by Wesley O. Planthaber, 60, Riverside, California, struck a northbound car driven by Shirley Geerts, 67, Morrison. The airbag in the Geerts’ car deployed as a result of the collision. Geerts was transported to Morrison Community Hospital by Morrison Ambulance, where she was treated for injuries received as a result of the collision. Each vehicle received in excess of $500 damage. Planthaber was cited for disobeying a traffic control device. Planthaber is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
