On 11-29-04, at approximately 8:41 a.m., Morrison Police investigated a report of damage to entry signs at French Creek Park. The total damage to the signs was approximately $100. On 12-01-04, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Morrison Police charged Michael Tarbill, 17, Morrison, with one count of retail theft. Tarbill was charged after an investigation into the theft of alcoholic beverages at Beck’s Convenience Store, 210 West Lincolnway, on the evening of November 27. Tarbill was issued a notice to appear in court. Tarbill is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. On 12-01-04, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Morrison Police investigated a car-deer collision near the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and Illinois Route #78. A northbound car driven by Geneva M. Dravis, 74, Morrison, struck a deer crossing the highway. Dravis received minor injuries, but declined treatment at the scene. There were no citations issued. The Dravis vehicle received in excess of $500 damage as a result of the collision. On 12-05-04, at approximately 7 p.m., Morrison Police charged a 15-year-old juvenile with theft under $300. The juvenile was charged after a police officer observed him stealing lights from the Christmas garlands at the intersection of Main and Cherry Streets. The juvenile was subsequently released to the custody of a parent. The case has been referred to the Whiteside County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Whiteside County Juvenile Court Services Office for adjudication. by Editor, theCity1.com |
